WORDS CONNECT. SO DO WE. ✳ FIVE SMALL CHALLENGES. ONE GOOD BREAK. ✳ WORDS CONNECT. SO DO WE. ✳
01 / FIND YOUR LINK
How to play Chainle
A familiar word can open an unexpected door. Chainle asks you to spot the link, one small puzzle at a time.
This daily Chainle word game has five rounds: three two-word connections, one three-word connection, and one synonym. Read the clue cards, type your answer, and press Enter or Connect. A successful guess reveals the connection and your points; choose Next connection to keep going. There is no countdown while you solve.
This Chainle edition uses a hand-reviewed list of answers. Connections usually form familiar compound words or phrases, while the final round asks for a similar meaning. You are looking for a specific featured answer or a listed alternative. Every completed round includes an explanation, so a surprising solution becomes something you can learn.
01 Rounds 1–3
Find a two-word bridge
Two clues, one missing link. In this Chainle example, sun and pot both connect to flower. Try adding your word before or after each clue. Read the resulting phrases aloud: both should make sense. Chainle accepts the connecting word itself, so type “flower” rather than the whole phrase.
02 Round 4
Connect all three
The fourth Chainle round adds another clue. Piano, lock, and map each have a key, with a different meaning each time. A word that fits only two clues is not enough. Start with the most distinctive clue, then test your idea against the others. Chainle rewards the common link across the entire set.
03 Round 5
Think in similar meanings
For the last Chainle round, find a synonym of the displayed word. For example, quick connects to fast. This Chainle puzzle also accepts “rapid” as an alternative. The featured answer earns the highest base score; accepted alternatives earn a lower base score. A related word is not automatically on the accepted list.
Every point explained
Clear clues. Clear scoring.
How does Chainle work when more than one word feels right? This edition uses an explicit scoring system, with no hidden similarity percentage. Each Chainle round starts with a base value: 1,000 points for the featured answer, or 800 points for a listed alternative.
The Chainle rules keep penalties predictable. A hint costs 200 points. Each different, valid guess outside that round’s answer list costs another 100 points. Repeating the same incorrect guess does not add another penalty; blank input, unsupported characters, or repeating a clue do not cost points. A solved Chainle round always earns at least 100 points. Skipping reveals the answer and earns zero.
For example, find the featured answer after one wrong guess and one hint: 1,000 − 100 − 200 = 700 points. The maximum for a complete Chainle game is 5,000. Your result shows the score and explanation for each round, so you can see exactly where those points came from.

A small daily ritual
Your daily five. Or one more round.
The daily Chainle set changes at 00:00 UTC. Players using the same puzzle version receive the same five puzzles for the same UTC date. Your local calendar may show a different date near midnight; the date above the board identifies the edition you are playing.
Chainle saves your current daily progress in this browser. Leave midway through a set and return to continue, including earlier guesses and hints. Practice has its own saved session, so switching modes does not overwrite your daily game. Finish a practice set to start another, or use Start a new practice set if you want different clues.
Practice draws from a finite original collection, so individual puzzles can repeat. Clearing browser data, changing devices, or using a private window may remove or separate your Chainle progress. There is no account or cross-device sync. Your completed daily result stays available until the next UTC date.

Follow your curiosity
Good connections start with a little sideways thinking.
Chainle.online is an independent edition with original puzzles and curated answers. It is not affiliated with chainle.io. The original game uses a different semantic scoring system, so answers and scores cannot be compared directly. Our focus is a clear explanation of every connection.
When a Chainle clue stalls you, look for ordinary phrases before unusual associations. Say the clue with possible endings, then reverse the order. Notice whether the words suggest objects, places, actions, or categories. In the three-clue Chainle round, use the extra clue to narrow your options.
For synonyms, keep the meaning and part of speech in mind: a verb usually needs another verb. A hint can be more useful than several speculative guesses. Take your time; Chainle has no speed bonus. The useful habit is testing an idea against every clue, then enjoying the moment when the pieces fit.
A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Chainle questions, answered.
Is this the official Chainle website?
No. Chainle.online is an independent word game with original puzzles and its own rules. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by chainle.io. If you want that specific game, use its website. Our Chainle edition uses curated answer lists and a UTC schedule; its puzzles and scores are not interchangeable with other editions.
Why did Chainle reject a word that makes sense?
A meaningful connection can still fall outside a puzzle’s reviewed answers. Chainle checks a finite list, not a language model or a dictionary of every possible association. “Not in this puzzle’s answer list” does not mean your word is not English. Review the revealed explanation and use a hint if you want help reaching the featured answer.
Where can I see today’s Chainle answers?
Solve or skip a round to reveal that round’s featured answer and explanation. Once you finish, the Chainle results panel collects all five. This site does not publish or claim to reproduce answers for another Chainle website. Shared scores contain points and score symbols without clue words or answers.
Can I play Chainle on my phone for free?
Yes. Chainle runs in a modern mobile or desktop browser without payment, signup, or an app download. JavaScript is required for the interactive board. Use the keyboard’s Enter key or the Connect button, and switch between Daily and Practice whenever you like. This version’s puzzles and explanations are in English.
What does Chainle save, and can I share my score?
Chainle stores your progress and guesses locally in your browser. Optional Google Analytics records visits, game starts, completed-game totals, and successful score copies only after you choose Allow analytics. We never send guesses or answers. After finishing, choose Share my score for a spoiler-free summary. If clipboard access is unavailable, the result appears in a selectable text box. The privacy notice in the footer explains local storage.
